We’re a Webby Awards Nominee!

We’re still kind of in disbelief writing this, but…
Tiny Dice House / Tiny Dice Buddies is officially a Webby Awards Nominee.

Wait… what does that actually mean?

Every year, the Webby Awards ("Oscars of the Internet") receive 13,000+ entries from around the world, and only five nominees are selected per category.

So being named a nominee means:

  • We're in the top ~10–12% of all entries
  • We made it into the final five of our submission category (Creator-Led Product/Business)
  • We're now competing for two awards:
    • 🏆 The Webby Award (judged by the academy)
    • 🗳️ The People’s Voice Award (voted by… you 👀)

This started as a crazy idea in the woods

The Tiny Dice House started as our wild idea to build one of the craziest places to live in the world. It was inspired by our love of games, creativity and design. Plus a little willingness to do something a little unhinged (stacking two giant dice and calling it a tiny home).

And the Tiny Dice Buddies? That started as us just… making cute little dice animations on the internet that made us laugh while we were waiting for the construction of the Tiny Dice House to begin.

We didn't have any extensive strategies or expectations. No “this will get nominated for anything.”

Just: what if we made something fun and a little different?

Somewhere along the way, people found us and the Tiny Dice Buddies went viral. Then the Tiny Dice House truly came to life and is now one of the most unique Airbnbs and stays in South Carolina (and the world).

We never imagined that our tiny house would become something people traveled to stay in or that our little dice characters would show up in people’s daily scrolls that they'd DM to their friends and family.

This whole thing built around something we found joy in doing became bigger than we ever imagined.

We're so grateful to be nominated for a Webby which feels like maybe our crazy idea that we've turned into a home, a viral account, a brand, and an experience that bridges the physical and digital worlds actually resonates with at least a few people.

Now… we need your help 🫶

There’s one part of this that isn’t decided by judges:

👉 The Webby People’s Voice Award

That one is entirely based on public voting. Which means if you’ve ever:

  • stayed at the Tiny Dice House
  • laughed at a Tiny Dice Buddies comic
  • followed along on this weird creative journey

…you can help us win by voting for us here. 🥹

It takes like 10 seconds and would mean the world to us.

Why this matters to us

We’ve always believed in building things that feel:

  • playful and authentic
  • unique and unexpected
  • risky but worth it

Being able to bring the Tiny Dice House and Tiny Dice Buddies to life have been an endeavor that is very much "us". We created these concepts and ideas from scratch, thought through every detail for countless hours, days, and years and we run everything for these ventures ourselves. No investors, no PR team, no board members, no one dictating our creative or design direction.

We've learned so many new skills and gained so many experiences during this journey so to have something like this recognized on a global level alongside other creators and companies we’ve looked up to is honestly surreal.

If we win…

Apparently, Webby winners have to give a five-word acceptance speech.

So we’ve been thinking about it.

Current ideas:

  • “Take risks, roll with it.”
  • “Tiny house, big internet energy.”
  • “This could've gone terribly wrong.”

(we’re open to suggestions 😂)

Thank you, seriously

Whether you vote or not—just being here, reading this, following along, we're already grateful that one more person in the world has come across what we've built. That’s the real win.

But also…if you do vote… we wouldn’t complain. 👀

Update!

We won the People's Voice Awards and are officially a Webby Awards Winner (now we have to figure out that five-word acceptance speech! 😅 Thank you so much for those who voted and supported us! 🙏
