Inside the Tiny Dice House: 10 Playful Furniture & Decor Pieces
One of our goals when staging and decorating the Tiny Dice House was to make the interior just as fun and whimsical as the exterior.
So, “Is the inside really as cool as the outside?”
Short answer: yes.
Long answer: absolutely yes and we have proof below.
Every inch of the Tiny Dice House was designed to feel like stepping inside a life-sized board game. From interactive furniture to subtle nostalgic game references you’ll notice when you observe closely, the decor isn’t just for looks—it’s meant to be played with.
Here are 10 of the most unique furniture and decor items you’ll find inside the Tiny Dice House (and probably nowhere else).
1. A Retro Polycade Arcade Machine

No quarters required—just pure nostalgia. Growing up, we both loved playing video games from Nintendo 64, Playstation, Xbox, Game Cube, Wii, and more. So we knew that we had to incorporate not just board games, but video games as well into the experience.
After searching far and wide for the most modern looking, high quality and functional arcade console, we settled on the Polycade. This retro arcade machine brings classic arcade vibes into a tiny home footprint and allows you to play truly any game you like. The machine is a beast and worth the price tag.
So whether you’re reliving your childhood or discovering pixelated games for the first time, this is one of our favorite late-night distractions in the tiny home.
2. A Claw Machine Filled with Tiny Dice Buddies Plushies & Merch

Yes, there’s a real claw machine inside the house—and it’s stocked with Tiny Dice Buddies plushies and merch. Watching the metal claw clench onto a prize and drop it into the dispenser feels incredibly exciting even as a grown adult and especially doing so inside a house shaped like dice. The best part is that guests get to keep anything they win from the claw machine all for free!
3. A Curated Collection of Board Games

From timeless classics to modern favorites, niche indie games, vintage and novelty finds, and even tiny versions of games, the board game selection at the Tiny Dice House is intentionally eclectic and nostalgic. There’s something for competitive types, casual players, and those who want to discover and try games that they had never even heard of! Our game collection also rotates seasonally to keep things fun and themed!
4. Game-Inspired Tree Ornaments
Every modern home has to have a tree or plant of some sort right? So how can we make this concept/decorative item more playful...? Game-themed ornaments of course! Some of these ornaments are actually playable as well!
5. “Go to Bed” Monopoly Wall Decal
One of the creative decor decisions that came out of a practical solution was incorporating a cheeky nod to the iconic Monopoly game right by the bedroom loft with a wall decal that says “Go to bed”. For maximum space efficiency, the bedroom loft was designed to be tucked behind the spiral staircase that has vertical black metal railings which resembled a jail so it was the perfect place to give the clever, gentle reminder that even game nights must eventually end.
6. A Foosball Coffee Table
Why choose between furniture and fun when you can have both? I knew that fitting a full size game table wouldn’t be possible in such a compact space so I was super excited when I came across this modern foosball coffee table that is both fully playable and functional! It fits the space nicely anchored by two wide and comfy floor sofas.
7. Life-Sized LEGO-Shaped Storage Bins

Getting more storage in a tiny home is always a creative challenge so these oversized LEGO piece storage bins are both practical and playful. They double as storage to help hide away all the things we didn’t want visible (i.e. cords, batteries, extra game pieces, etc.) and sculptural decor. Even organizing should feel like play.
8. Giant Board Games as Wall Art

Instead of traditional artwork, the walls of the second floor feature colorful oversized board games hung as statement pieces. You'll find chess, checkers & backgammon, tic-tac-toe, and Scrabble! Each wall art board game along with the game pieces are magnetic so you can play them while appreciating their beautiful design.
9. Dice & Rubik’s Cube Tissue Boxes

Even the smallest, most mundane details can be thoughtfully designed. Providing tissues for guests is a must so instead of going with your standard default tissue box, we disguised ours as a die and a Rubik’s Cube (one on each floor). It’s these tiny delightful surprises that we hope make guests smile every time they notice them.
10. Jigsaw Puzzle Piece Coasters

Another subtle favorite decor piece of ours are the coasters. Coasters are always helpful to have around especially when serving coffee, tea, or any other beverage. There are many ways to get creative with coasters but we went with jigsaw puzzle-piece coasters that all fit together just like a real puzzle. We love turning something ordinary into a small, tactile moment of fun.
A House That Doesn’t Take Itself Too Seriously
The Tiny Dice House was designed to be immersive, joyful, and a little ridiculous—in the best way. It’s proof that thoughtful design doesn’t have to be serious to be beautiful, and that play deserves a place in adult spaces too.
If you’re the kind of person who loves board games, clever design, or places that spark your inner child, this house was built with you in mind.
